Practical information before you book

Cancelling or changing your booking

You can cancel your booking before 6 pm on the day prior to your arrival; this will incur a cancellation fee of SEK 175. We will repay the cost of your booking minus the cancellation fee. Refunds are usually processed within a few days and always within 30 days. Stays that are cut short are not refundable.

You can change your booking free up to 14 days prior to your arrival. After this time no changes can be made to your booking and you should instead refer to the cancellation rules.

Electricity

All pitches are equipped with electrical service poles with a 230V/16A CEE current, which provides output power of 3600W. EU adapters are available from the booth at the entrance to the park or at the reception at the guest accommodation.

Check-in/out

Earliest check-in time 11 am
Latest check-out time 10.45 am

Check-in

The area is not staffed and check-in/out is done via a text and automatic barriers.
Check-in/out information will be sent to the mobile number specified at the time of booking.

Before your arrival, you’ll receive a text with check-in details the day. For your check-in to be approved, you must confirm your vehicle’s registration number and that you have paid the total booking cost.

You’ll be notified via text if your pitch is available before 11 am. If you arrive early, you can park free in our main car park, no parking permit is required as parking checks are done on the vehicle’s registration number.

Check-out

Before departure, you’ll receive a new text with instructions for checking out. It is important that you do not check out before you have left the pitch as the next guest will automatically receive a notification that it is now available.

If you do not check out or check out late, you will be charged SEK 1000/24 hr.

If you want to visit the park having checked out, you can park free in our main car park; no parking permit is required as parking checks are done on the vehicle’s registration number.

Pitch size

Our standard pitches are 10×7 metres and booked via our online platform.

Surface

All the pitches have surfaces with stone dust and a small area (4x5m) with artificial grass. On our largest pitches the surfaces is only stone dust.

Rules for pitching

Pitching is subject to current rules from the fire authority. Each pitch is marked to show where the caravan/motorhome should be parked. Cars that belong to a caravan should be parked on the pitch alongside the caravan. There may only be one car/rented pitch.

You may unfold an awning on all pitches but not set up side-tents or awnings with walls. Free-standing tents next to caravans/motorhomes are not permitted for fire safety reasons.

Useful information before your visit

Fire

Fire extinguishers are located around the grounds. There is a separate rescue access point in the area assigned to pitch numbers 100-138. For more info see the map of the grounds.

Shops

The Tiny Town, our guest accommodation with cottages and houses, is located on the other side of the large main car park for Astrid Lindgren’s World. In the reception building, there is a small shop where you will find food, drinks, coffee, souvenirs and various supplies. Every morning you can buy fresh rolls and freshly brewed coffee in the shop. It is advised that you order your rolls the evening before to avoid the risk of them being sold out. The reception opening hours can be found on our website.

If you need to do a bigger shop, there are two supermarkets less than 1 km from the caravan and motorhome pitches.

Entrance tickets

If you have booked entrance tickets to Astrid Lindgren’s World, these will be emailed to you once your booking has been paid in full. You can bring your tickets with you to the park as printed copies or scan them directly at the entrance from your phone. Tickets are registered on the day of arrival, but you can choose which day of your stay you visit the park. Multi-day tickets are valid for consecutive days.

 

Breakfast (pre-booking required)

Every morning at Majkens Mat restaurant, a wonderful filling breakfast buffet is served for our accommodation guests. You can include breakfast when you make your booking or add it via My Reservation up to two days prior to your arrival. Limited spaces available.

Barbecues

There are a number of shared barbecues available, which guests are welcome to use. Coal and lighter fluid are available in The Tiny Town guest accommodation shop.

You are welcome to have a barbecue at your pitch, but think about the fire risk and always place the barbecue on the gravel surface. The use of disposable barbecues is not permitted in the grounds.

Grey water/Latrine

There is an emptying and filling station equipped for grey water disposal and both manual and automatic latrine disposal from CamperClean (not fixed tanks) as well as for refilling fresh water.

There is an area for disposing of latrine waste manually next to the service building.

Pets

Pets are welcome but dogs must be kept on leads.

Defibrillator

There is a defibrillator installed on the information building to the right of the service building.

Waste sorting

Waste should be placed in the bins specified. There are two sorting stations in the area.

Rules

The vast majority who stay with us are families with children. We want everyone to be able to sleep well at night and wake up rested for a day at the park. Please show consideration and respect to other guests; there should be peace and quiet and no traffic between 10 pm and 8 am with the exception of check-in/out.

Reception

The area is not staffed. To contact staff on site call +46 (0)492-56 47 70 or find us at The Tiny Town guest accommodation. There is a number to call in the case of an emergency after reception opening hours. The reception opening hours and on-call number can be found at the information building on the right of the service building.

Restaurants

There are many restaurants within Astrid Lindgren’s World park. During the summer, a buffet dinner is served most evenings in Stadsmästargården. This can be included at the time of your booking or added via My Reservation up to two days prior to your arrival.

Service buildings

There is a small service building with a shower room (women/men), toilets, kitchen and outdoor washing-up area and a laundry room with washers and dryers. The service building is available 24 hours a day and is included in the day price. However, the laundry room is only accessible between 8 am and 9:30 pm and can be booked on +46 (0)492-56 47 70. Laundry detergents are available in the shop and from the shop in The Tiny Town guest accommodation area.

Wi-Fi

The area is equipped with free Wi-Fi. A password will be sent to you by text when you have checked in.
